American Library in BKC reopens, named Dosti House

The US consulate on Wednesday inaugurated the Dosti House, an audience-centric space which has been redesigned and recreated from the former American Library in Bandra-Kurla Complex.It has been remodelled in such a way that the new design is flexible and modular, allowing free use of furniture and other elements. It will accommodate 100 people audience, a space for self-study and group work, a language lab, a lounge area for reading and modern computer facilities.
Dosti House also includes a video wall and a stage, allowing larger in-house programmes. In addition, the traditional library has a collection of 10,000 books, 700 films and 130 periodicals and e-resources including 40 remotely accessible databases. |
